Who we are

Sauvetage Baie-D'Urfé Rescue Squad (SBDRS) is an all-volunteer service that provides emergency response services and first-aid residents of Baie-D'Urfé.

The Squad is equipped and trained in the use of automated external defibrillator (AED), oxygen supply, backboard and certain emergency medications, including EpiPen® for severe allergic reactions. Other equipment such as generators, pumps, saws, scene lights, as well as assorted mechanical tools make up the equipment carried on the three (3) trucks.

In addition to responding to emergency calls, SBDRS volunteers provide first aid services and traffic control at most special events in Baie-D'Urfé including Baie-D'Urfé; Days, Winter Fest and the Annual Bingo night. The members also supply First-Aid coverage to golf and hockey tournaments upon request.

Ongoing training keeps the Squad members trained on the current techniques and certified on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillator (AED), use of Epi-pens and administration of oxygen. The training sessions are held every Wednesday night and occasionally weekends as the program requires.
